We operate our own vessels and tractor units, together with a fleet of single and double deck 13.6-metre reefer trailers, and 45-foot wide body containers with 3 temperature regimes for both road and rail transport.
We also offer multi-temperature warehouses and food safety and quality is fully assured with our HACCP and BRC certification. Our focus is on providing tailor made solutions for our clients needs and this extends to the design and supply of specialist equipment.
Our containers are satellite-tracked, alarmed and monitored for temperature deviations which as a result could affect product quality. Our multi-temperature warehouse facilities enable us to make retail deliveries up to 4 times a day, increasing on-shelf freshness and availability over a wide area. Blast freezing facilities can be made available as part of a logistics package.
On Tap Logistics
Norfolkline offers a one–stop–shop for your logistics requirements. Our expert teams, operating at your own premises if required,work closely with your own personnel to produce a logistical plan. This plan is tailored specifically to your business without the need for your capital investment in the major resources.
Services include collection, transportation,warehousing and distribution including access to full retail distribution throughout the UK and Northern Europe. We also provide a managed service using third party providers for collection, handling and distribution covering all of Europe including the developing markets in Eastern Europe. The result is a competitively priced service offering full cost visibility on a case or pallet basis, throughout the entire supply chain.

Any corrections can be made long before deterioration takes place. Our B2Blinks and ‘track-and-trace-facilities’ are designed to maximize the flow of information and minimize data entry requirements. This enables our customers to have a clear view on their goods ‘on route’ at any time. And at minimum costs!
Speed is the essence
Our ships and containers really move! Using almost entirely our own vessels, we can offer no less than 200 weekly sailings between the UK, Ireland and continental Europe, plus 36 weekly sailings between the UK and Scandinavia.
Combine this frequency with minimum sea transittimes and we can assure our customers that their products reach the right destination in the shortest possible time or in accordance with requirements. We also work very closely with all other major ferry operators to make sure we provide the most effective routes to move the products to the customers
